Imogen Mathew Canberra, Obituary:Woodleigh School Graduate Passed Away Unexpectedly
It is with profound sorrow that we share the news of the sudden and unexpected passing of Dr Imogen Mathew on 13 January. A 2003 graduate of Woodleigh School, Imogen’s loss is deeply felt by all who knew her.
Imogen was the beloved partner of Tommy and a loving, devoted mother to her daughter, Evelyn. She was the adored daughter of Sandy and Rosemary (both deceased) and a much-loved sister to Alex. To her wide circle, she was a cherished colleague and a loyal, insightful friend.
Her sharp intellect and compassionate spirit defined her life and work. As a respected professional, she earned admiration for her dedication and integrity. As a friend, she offered unwavering support and wisdom. Her greatest role was as a mother, where her love for Evelyn was her guiding light.

The Woodleigh community joins in mourning one of its own, extending heartfelt condolences to her family and all who were touched by her presence.

A funeral service to celebrate Imogen’s life will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday 11 February at Norwood Park Chapel, Mitchell ACT. Photographs and details are shared with her family’s permission.
