It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Demetrius Brandon Weeden, who died earlier this morning on January 26, 2026, at the age of 40. Demetrius, affectionately known as Brandon by his Maryland family and friends, tragically lost his life in a traffic accident during a snowstorm on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
Demetrius was a beloved son and friend, known for his kindness and vibrant spirit. His passing leaves a significant void in the hearts of those who knew him. Arrangements for his home-going services have been made to honor his memory.
A service will be held in Winchester, Virginia, where he resided. The service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 4th, at Omps Funeral Home, located at 1600 Amherst Street. The viewing will be from 4 to 6 p.m., with the service beginning at 6 p.m. The following day, in Maryland, a service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5th, at the New Community Church of God in Christ, 3480 Catteron Place, Suite 101, Waldorf. The viewing will start at 11:00 a.m., followed by the service and burial.
