Robby S. Isbell,Pell City Man Killed in Jefferson County Accident Identified
A tragic accident on Friday, January 30th, claimed the life of Robby S. Isbell, a 38-year-old resident of Pell City. The fatal crash occurred in Jefferson County, near the Leeds city limits, on Interstate 20 at the 140-mile marker.
According to State Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division, Isbell was traveling in a truck when it veered off the roadway. The vehicle subsequently struck a ditch and overturned. Tragically, Isbell was ejected from the truck during the rollover and was not wearing a seatbelt.
Authorities reported that Isbell sustained severe injuries and was transported to UAB Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. A passenger in the truck also sustained injuries and was taken to UAB for medical treatment. The ALEA Highway Patrol Division is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal incident.
